A transformational two-day immersion into nervous-system regulation, somatic release, subconscious rewiring, expanded consciousness, and intentional creation.
What if the next level of your life didn't require you to think harder, work harder, or learn more—but instead required you to finally listen to the intelligence that has been communicating with you all along?
We have been taught to develop our IQ, our intellectual intelligence. More recently, we have learned the importance of EQ, our emotional intelligence. Yet there is another intelligence that influences virtually every moment of our lives: BQ—Body Intelligence.
Your body is constantly sensing, interpreting, adapting, protecting, and communicating. Your breathing changes before you consciously recognize stress. Your muscles tighten before you understand why you feel uncomfortable. Your heart responds to connection. Your gut reacts to people and situations. Your nervous system continuously determines whether the world feels safe or threatening—and that state influences your thoughts, emotions, decisions, relationships, health, creativity, and performance.
The Intelligent Body™ is an immersive two-day Science & Soul experience designed to help you learn that language and reconnect with the wisdom already within you.
This isn't another weekend of sitting in a chair collecting information. You will breathe. Move. Shake. Walk. Meditate. Reflect. Connect. Laugh. Release. Share. Become still. Explore your subconscious patterns. Expand your awareness. And ultimately, consciously decide what you want to create next. You won't simply learn the R4 Method™. You will experience it in your body.
Most personal-development programs begin with the mind. The R4 Method™ begins deeper—with the physiological and subconscious systems influencing the mind.
The journey begins by learning to REGULATE the nervous system so that the body can move from chronic protection toward greater safety, flexibility, and coherence. From that foundation, we can RELEASE accumulated stress, physical tension, emotional baggage, and protective patterns the body may have been carrying for years. Only then do we move into REWIRE, where we become aware of the subconscious beliefs, identity patterns, triggers, habits, and stories that quietly influence our lives. As those patterns become visible, we can RISE beyond automatic reaction and experience greater presence, intuition, gratitude, purpose, connection, and conscious awareness.
And then we add one final gateway: CREATE. Because once you are no longer creating your future entirely from yesterday's programming, you can begin consciously choosing what comes next.
The complete journey becomes:
REGULATE → RELEASE → REWIRE → RISE → CREATE.
At the center of all of it is Body Intelligence.
Day 1 takes us out of constant thinking and back into direct experience.
Throughout the first day, participants learn to recognize the signals of the body, understand the nervous system, intentionally change their physiological state, and explore how the body naturally releases accumulated tension when it feels sufficiently safe.
The question guiding Day One is beautifully simple:
What is my body trying to tell me?

The Body Knows Before the Mind Does
"The body whispers before it screams."
Transformation begins with awareness. Before we can regulate, release, or change anything, we first have to notice what is happening within us.
During Awaken, we explore the fascinating intersection between modern science and timeless wisdom. Participants are introduced to Body Intelligence (BQ) and begin recognizing the extraordinary communication occurring between the brain, heart, gut, nervous system, breath, emotions, physical sensations, and environment.
Through interactive demonstrations and experiential practices, you begin noticing signals that may have been present for years but were drowned out by the noise of the analytical mind.
Rather than treating your body as something you must constantly control, discipline, or fix, you begin developing a completely different relationship with it.
You begin listening.
The A-Ha Moment
"My body has been communicating with me my entire life. I simply never learned its language."
You'll leave this gateway with a new understanding of Body Intelligence and a simple awareness practice you can begin using immediately to recognize what your physiology, emotions, and intuition may be communicating.

Your State Creates Your Reality
"Your state determines your story."
Your nervous system influences how you experience virtually everything. When the nervous system perceives danger, the body prepares to protect you. Breathing changes. Muscles tighten. Attention narrows. Digestion shifts. Heart rate changes. Emotional reactions intensify. Even the stories generated by the mind can change.
This is why trying to "think positively" while the body is communicating danger can be so ineffective.
During Regulate, we make nervous-system science practical. Participants explore sympathetic and parasympathetic activity, fight-flight-freeze responses, the window of tolerance, vagal regulation, breathing physiology, CO₂ tolerance, heart-rate variability, and the relationship between physiological state and emotional experience.
But we won't simply talk about regulation.
You will feel it happen.
Through a carefully structured sequence of breathing, sensory, vagal, and heart-coherence practices, participants experience how quickly physiology can shift when we communicate safety back to the body.
The A-Ha Moment
"I don't have to wait for my circumstances to change before I change my state."
One of the most important take-home tools from this gateway is a practical vagus nerve activation and nervous-system RESET protocol that can be used in only a few minutes. It can become part of your morning rhythm or be used before an important meeting, difficult conversation, athletic performance, stressful event, meditation, or anytime you want to return to center.
Instead of hoping to feel calm, you'll understand how to help your body create the conditions for calm.

The Body Remembers What the Mind Forgets
"What the body suppresses, the body expresses."
Stress that isn't fully processed doesn't always simply disappear.
Protective responses can continue to show themselves through chronic muscular tension, restricted breathing, posture, emotional triggers, guarding, restlessness, fatigue, and habitual patterns of contraction.
During Release, we explore a radically different perspective: many of the things we dislike about ourselves may have originated as intelligent attempts by the nervous system to protect us.
Instead of asking, "What is wrong with me?", we begin asking, "What has my body been trying to protect me from?"
That shift alone can replace judgment with curiosity.
Participants are progressively guided through body awareness, orienting, grounding, pendulation, movement, somatic exploration, shaking, TRE/neurogenic tremoring, sound, and breathwork. Rather than forcing catharsis, we create the conditions in which the body can release at its own pace.
We also emphasize something often overlooked in transformational experiences: integration. Activation alone is not transformation. The nervous system needs an opportunity to settle, process, and complete the experience.
The A-Ha Moment
"My body wasn't working against me. It was protecting me."
By the end of Day One, participants understand how to recognize patterns of accumulated tension and have several practical somatic tools they can continue using at home.
Throughout the two days, periods of education and deeper inner work are balanced with Caminos—intentional walking experiences designed to bring awareness into movement and everyday life.
These are not fitness walks.
On the first Camino, we quiet conversation and technology and begin listening to the body. Feel the feet touching the earth. Notice the breath. Feel temperature and air against the skin. Hear sounds without labeling them. Observe where the body feels open and where it feels contracted.
On Day Two, the Camino changes. Instead of primarily observing the body, we begin observing the mind. Thoughts appear—planning, comparing, remembering, worrying, judging—and rather than becoming absorbed in them, we simply notice them.
The Camino becomes meditation in motion and reinforces one of the weekend's central teachings:
Awareness doesn't require escaping your life. It can become the way you live your life.
One concludes with intentional integration and our first Bowl Sharing experience.
Participants are invited to identify something they recognize they no longer need to carry... perhaps an old belief, identity, fear, resentment, expectation, story, or protective pattern.
They write it down and symbolically place it into the Release Bowl.
Sharing is always optional. There is no fixing, advising, analyzing, or comparing stories. We simply create space to witness one another.
A gentle integration experience of breath, meditation, and stillness then brings together the first three gateways—Awaken, Regulate, and Release—allowing participants to end the first day grounded and integrated.
The question we carry home that evening is:
"What am I ready to stop carrying?"
Day 2 begins differently. Instead of immediately adding more information, we begin with a morning Camino, stillness, and integration. Participants have an opportunity to notice what shifted overnight and what feels different in the body after Day One. Then the journey changes direction.
Day One asked:
"What is my body trying to tell me?"
Day Two asks:
"If my past no longer gets to automatically write my future, what do I choose now?"

Become the Observer
"Awareness is the first act of freedom."
We all have programming. Our childhood experiences, relationships, successes, failures, emotional experiences, environment, culture, and repeated behaviors have helped create subconscious predictions about who we are and how the world works. Much of this programming operates without conscious awareness.
During Rewire, participants explore neuroplasticity, subconscious conditioning, habits, triggers, attention, identity, beliefs, and predictive processing. We investigate why simply knowing what we "should" do rarely creates lasting transformation.
Then we introduce one of the most important abilities developed during the entire workshop: The Observer.
Through meditation, stillness, conscious breathing, mirroring, trigger awareness, visualization, and identity work, participants learn to notice their thoughts and emotional reactions without automatically becoming them.
You begin recognizing the difference between:
"I am anxious" and "I notice anxiety."
Between:
"I am angry" and "I notice anger arising."
Between:
"This is who I am" and "This is a pattern I learned."
That small space between experience and awareness creates something extraordinary:
Choice.
The A-Ha Moment
"I am not my thoughts. I am the awareness observing them."
Participants leave Rewire with practical observer and mirroring exercises that can be integrated into relationships and daily life, transforming triggers from problems into opportunities for awareness.
THE POWER OF STILLNESS
One of the most important sessions of the weekend contains almost no teaching at all. We become still. No phones. No conversation. No information to consume. Nothing to achieve.
Participants experience the difference between thinking about consciousness and actually becoming conscious of their thoughts.
Stillness becomes less about emptying the mind and more about discovering who is aware of the mind. That distinction becomes the bridge between Rewire and Rise.

Remember Who You Already Are
"Transformation isn't becoming someone else. It's remembering who you've always been."
What happens when the nervous system is no longer constantly defending? What becomes possible when some of the emotional weight falls away? Who are you when you stop believing every thought your conditioning produces?
\
This is where Science & Soul fully converge. During Rise, participants explore presence, heart coherence, gratitude, intuition, purpose, interconnectedness, expanded awareness, and different states of consciousness. Rather than viewing personal development as endlessly fixing ourselves, we introduce another possibility: perhaps transformation is partly the process of removing the layers that prevent us from experiencing who we already are.
Participants move conceptually and experientially from character → observer → creator.
The A-Ha Moment
"Nothing was missing. I was simply looking outside myself for something that was already within me."
Rise leaves participants with practices designed to cultivate presence, gratitude, coherence, intuition, and awareness as part of ordinary life—not just during workshops and meditation.

From Observer to Creator
"You don't create your future only by wanting something. You create it by becoming congruent with it."
This is where the entire weekend comes together.
Creation is intentionally placed at the end. Why?
Because many people attempt to create their future from the same nervous-system state, subconscious programming, fears, and identity that created their current experience.
We take another approach.
First, we regulate.
Then we release.
Then we become aware of the programming.
Then we rise beyond it.
And only then do we ask: What do I truly want to create?
Creation isn't simply positive thinking, affirmations, or wishing for things. It is the process of bringing intention, attention, emotion, identity, physiology, and action into greater alignment.
Participants are guided through a powerful self-inquiry process that culminates in their own Creation List.
We explore what success actually means to you, what you genuinely desire, gratitude, relationships, health, finances, fun, family, fitness, faith or spirituality, contribution, adventure, purpose, heart desires, and ultimately the person you are becoming. The questions progressively deepen from "What do I want?" to "Why do I want it?", then to "Who would I need to become to live it?"
And finally, we bring the process back to Body Intelligence:
"What happens in my body when I imagine this life?"
Creation stops being merely an intellectual exercise.
It becomes embodied.
The A-Ha Moment
"I don't need to chase the life I want. I need to become congruent with the person capable of living it."
Participants leave with their personal Creation List and a practical method for continuing to refine it as awareness evolves.
Before our final breathwork journey, participants identify one intention that rises above everything else they have written.
One declaration.
One conscious choice.
One direction.
That declaration is placed into our Creation Bowl and, for those who choose, spoken aloud.
The Release Bowl represents:
What I no longer choose to carry.
The Creation Bowl represents:
What I consciously choose to carry forward.
Together, the two bowls tell the story of the weekend.

Knowledge can change what you know. Experience can change who you are. The weekend culminates in an immersive 75-minute breathwork journey integrating music, intentional breathing, somatic release, guided awareness, visualization, emotion, stillness, and deep integration.
Rather than teaching the R4 Method one final time, participants experience the entire process. We begin with Regulate, establishing safety and presence within the body. From that foundation, we move into Release, allowing the body to let go of what it is ready to surrender. As the analytical mind becomes quieter, we enter Rewire, creating space for new possibilities, beliefs, and identity. The experience then expands into Rise, cultivating gratitude, connection, love, awareness, and presence.
And finally: Create.
From a regulated and expanded state, participants bring their Creation List into awareness and experience the future not simply as an intellectual idea but as an embodied possibility.
Then the guidance disappears.
There is breath.
There is stillness.
There is awareness.
And there is space for the body to integrate everything it has experienced.
The real measure of this weekend isn't what happens during these two days.
It's what happens Monday morning. For that reason, The Intelligent Body™ is designed around practical integration. Participants leave with a simple Science & Soul Daily Rhythm that brings the principles of the weekend into ordinary life without requiring hours of practice every day. Your personal rhythm can include a short morning nervous-system check-in, the R4 RESET and vagus nerve activation protocol, intentional breathing, stillness or meditation, observer practice, gratitude, Creation List visualization, and a brief evening reflection.
You will also understand how to use these tools in the moment—before a stressful conversation, important decision, competition, presentation, emotional trigger, or any situation where you want to return to center before responding. The goal isn't to create another routine you eventually abandon. It is to establish a rhythm that helps you continually return to yourself.
You won't leave with a binder that sits on a shelf. You leave with an integrated personal practice and tools you can actually use. Your take-home framework includes a daily Science & Soul rhythm, a short nervous-system regulation and vagus nerve activation protocol, breathing techniques for different physiological states, somatic release and grounding practices, an introduction to TRE principles, meditation and stillness practices, the Observer exercise, practical mirroring and trigger awareness, heart-coherence practices, the Camino walking meditation, and strategies for bringing greater awareness into everyday life.
You will also create your own Creation List, along with a method for refining it over time as your awareness and priorities evolve. Rather than simply writing goals, you'll understand how to combine intention with attention, visualization, emotion, physiology, identity, and aligned action.
And perhaps most importantly, you'll leave with something that cannot be written in a workbook: the direct experience of your own Body Intelligence.
AWAKEN — I LISTEN.
I learn the language of my body.
REGULATE — I AM SAFE.
I learn how to intentionally change my state.
RELEASE — I LET GO.
I allow the body to release what it no longer needs to carry.
REWIRE — I OBSERVE.
I recognize that I am not my conditioning.
RISE — I REMEMBER.
I reconnect with awareness, presence, intuition, and purpose.
CREATE — I CHOOSE.
I consciously participate in creating what comes next.
\
This isn't about becoming someone else. It isn't about fixing everything that is supposedly wrong with you. And it isn't about escaping your life. It is about becoming aware enough to experience your life differently.
To hear what your body has been saying.
To recognize what you have been carrying.
To see the programs you've been unconsciously running.
To remember the awareness beneath those programs.
And from that place, to consciously choose what comes next.
Your body knows. Your breath connects. Your awareness transforms.
It's time to come home to yourself.

Dr. Mike Van Thielen's work is rooted not only in decades of science, health, and human-performance research, but in his own journey of transformation. A Belgian-born health professional, world-record swimmer, entrepreneur, and lifelong student of human potential, Mike spent much of his life mastering the outer world—achievement, performance, health, and success—before realizing that the greatest frontier was the one within. Personal loss, relationships, and his own awakening led him beyond traditional models of health and performance into neuroscience, nervous-system regulation, breathwork, subconscious programming, consciousness, and the deeper intelligence of the body. That journey ultimately became the foundation of his Science & Soul philosophy, Body Intelligence (BQ), and the R4 Method™: Regulate, Release, Rewire, and Rise. Today, his mission is not simply to teach people more information, but to help them experience what happens when science becomes embodied and we learn to listen to the wisdom already within us.
Dr. Mike holds a PhD in Holistic Nutrition and is a licensed Physical Therapist, Acupuncture Physician, and Doctor of Oriental Medicine, as well as a Certified Neuroscience Coach and certified 9D Breathwork Facilitator. A world-record swimmer and 31-time U.S. National Champion, he has worked with elite athletes, Olympians, professional sports organizations, executives, entrepreneurs, and people seeking meaningful personal transformation. He is a TEDx speaker, has appeared on FOX, ABC, NBC, and hundreds of other media platforms, and has shared stages with internationally recognized leaders in health, performance, and personal development. He is also the author of The Science & Soul of Human Life and The Limitless Code, and founder of Limitless Lab. Yet the most important credential he brings to The Intelligent Body™ may be the simplest: he lives this work. This workshop is an invitation to experience the principles, practices, and realizations that changed his own life—and to discover what becomes possible when you stop searching for all the answers outside yourself and finally learn to listen within.
